Games’ benefits

by admin on Oct.14, 2009, under Games

Playing scrabble, monopoly or even cards together with our family or friends, doing Sudoku or crosswords by ourselves is not only a way to socialize or have fun but also a good opportunity to make our brains work out.
These games require different abilities so that we can develop ourselves mathematically (we will count faster, notice similarities and follow up the logic) and train for the practical life problems and maybe for our future jobs too: we learn how to focus, to be patient and to pay attention to ourselves and the others, to act logically up to what happens around us, to work for reaching a target.

Games exist since ever in different ways, almost all of them are based on winning points and they have been always a success in a child’s life. That’s why the on line math games are also a success and can have amazing benefits for our child: from practicing simple or complicated calculations in their heads to founding and using the logic. Both are needed for an easier approach to math as it is taught in school.

Encouraging our children to play games like these is similar with encouraging them to do sport activities. We should take care of their mind and body participating together with them in such activities as much as we can.

Let’s spend more time with our children: play with them, learn a foreign language in the same rhythm, talk to them, or watch a movie together. It can not hurt, on the contrary.
